Federal funding targets four Erie County development projects
Infinite Erie outlined federal appropriations for site preparation, business park infrastructure, housing and biomedical laboratories.

Infinite Erie’s February 11 release identifies approximately $6.6 million in federal funding for four Erie County priorities in its development Playbook. The organization describes the appropriations as supporting economic development, housing and workforce initiatives.
The Erie Port Authority is allocated $2 million for asbestos abatement and demolition of remaining structures at the former Erie Coke site. Erie County’s McKean Business Park receives $3 million for infrastructure improvements intended to prepare the site for future industrial and commercial activity.
The Erie County Land Bank’s Cornerstone Community Land Trust is listed for $1.1 million to create affordable housing units. Gannon University is listed for $500,000 in biomedical laboratory upgrades supporting education and workforce development in healthcare and life sciences.
Infinite Erie coordinates public, private and civic partners around projects identified in its annually published Playbook. The February announcement concerns funding for these projects and the work it is intended to support; it does not establish that construction or upgrades have been completed.
